It is my pleasure to recommend Mr. xxxxx for his application to graduate studies in your school.

As the project manager of xxxxx Plaza (a landmark project in xxxx city, total floor area 97,000m2), I have worked with Mr. xxxx from 1997 to the date of this letter. During the more than 3 years time we work together, I found that Mr. xxx is very hard working person with great enthusiasm for learning new things. When Mr. xxxx came to work in our xxxxx Plaza project in Oct of 1997, he was only a new graduated student without much knowledge and experience on the construction of international project like xxxxx Plaza. I remember clearly that Mr. xxxx worked overtime nearly every night in the beginning six months of our xxxxx Plaza project to study the maincontract, FIDIC conditions and how to write business letter. Due to his hard working and excellent English, in half-year time Mr. xxxx became one of our contract experts and was promoted to the position of deputy manager of our contract department. Particularly, Mr. xxxx is good at writing business letter and nearly one third of our business letter in xxxxx Plaza project (about 2000 pieces) were written by Mr. xxxx.

Even so, I think that the biggest contribution Mr. xxxx made to our company in xxxx Plaza project should be the claim report (total 466 pages) that Mr. xxxx cooperated with our Italian consultant to prepare. Because Mr. xxxx take part in the construction of xxxxx Plaza from the beginning to the end and he know both the site matter and contract matter, he in fact play a vital role in preparing the said claim report. It is this claim report that helps us get three more months’ construction time and 1.2 Million USD extra payment. By this practice, Mr. xxxx now become one of our rare talented staff who know how to claim when carrying out the international project.

When I heard the news that Mr. xxxx prepares to go studying in UK, I feel a little regretted in the position of company because the company will lose a very promising staff. Personally, however, I am glad that such a potential guy like Mr. xxxxx will get world level education. I am sure that he will help the internationalizing process of the construction industry in china after he finishes his postgraduate studies in UK. The door of our company is always open to him and we are looking forward that he would like to continue working in this company after his studies.
